B-Quik Racing is pleased to have been chosen to play a focal role in an exciting new nationwide television advertising campaign that is set to be rolled out this month by B-Quik Co. Ltd. [“B-Quik”]; a clear endorsement of the synergies and values that the race team brings to the Company.
It’s also a groundbreaking initiative in terms of Thai motorsport for a race team to be core to a major television marketing initiative.
The concept of the TV ‘spot’ is that ultra slick and efficient teamwork as well as the highest skill levels are all core to both the team and to B-Quik, the largest national automotive aftermarket servicing chain, which now numbers 128 stores across Thailand. B-Quik is currently engaged in a rapid expansion programme with a roll out of 14 further new stores set to continue throughout this year as well as the opening of new outlets in neighbouring ASEAN countries.
B-Quik Racing was formed in 2009 and has since then racked up major successes in professional motorsport, both here in Thailand and right across Asia. The team has enjoyed podium finishes in the Sepang 12 Hours, the most prestigious endurance race in South East Asia, on its first entry in 2014 and again on our return in 2015, while last year we also won the ‘Audi R8 Cup Asia’ ‘AM Cup’ title, the Asia Classic Car Challenge (where our drivers in fact won every race and claimed every pole position) and we also took three wins out of three races at the 9th Bangsaen Thailand Speed Festival in the most prestigious and hard fought national racing category, Super Car Class 2-GTM. There was more groundbreaking in the Audi R8 Cup Asia as we became the first private team in the series, a resounding endorsement of the abilities of our Thai technicians.
That on track success has been a pleasing result of our core philosophy which has been to put in place a racing team built to the most exacting professional standards through the development of our staff and to leverage that further by providing training and development to selected B-Quik store technicians, chosen from our more than 2,300 employees.
The extreme demands associated with winning in top level motor racing that requires slick teamwork in highly pressurised situations, absolute management of safety in the pitlane and where deadlines are often measured in seconds – all perfectly synergise with the operational metrics of B-Quik’s retail outlets.
We are proud that B-Quik Racing has achieved so much success against professional race teams with a crew that has been exclusively drawn from our stores and trained to compete in racing. Apart from a core that remains with the team full time, the race technicians return to their respective retail stores after each event and thus transfer their racing skills sets back into the Company’s working environment, the team’s values permeating and creating additional value.
Now the team’s synergies with B-Quik’s operational metrics have been fully recognised with the Company’s new marketing strategy that focuses around the team in action and the shared values.
The new TV commercial was shot on location at Kaeng Krachan Circuit near Phetchaburi on 3-4 March and included four cars from B-Quik Racing (our regular Audi R8 LMS Cup and Porsche 997 GT3 Cup plus two just acquired Porsche 996 GT3 Cup racers) as well as two more cars that were kindly loaned to us for the shooting by Thailand Super Series President Sontaya Kunplome, namely his familiar Porsche 997 GT3 Cup and Porsche 996 GT3 Cup.
The advert’s creative concept showed the team in a number of racing ‘scenarios’ and featured our technicians taking centre stage in bringing their fast moving ‘pitstop’ skills in changing tyres on production cars (no actors required here!), perfectly demonstrating in a very visual way just how the team is an extension of the Company’s activities.
At B-Quik our driving philosophy is never about standing still and we are always chasing new ideas so expect to see innovation – and of course a touch of humour – in the advert.
The 30 second spot will air on major national TV channels from 16 March.
