Eurasia Motorsport scored a double podium with 2 x third place finishes for young Australian driver Aidan Read at the Formula Masters China Series opening event for 2016 in Shanghai China (22nd May).
The Philippines based squad have a long history of success in Single seater racing in Asia and the return to the podium with Read shows the development of the driver returning for his second full season with the team.
The team were fielding just a single car for Read who was competitive from the start of the weekend following a successful pre season test campaign and a triple win in the 3 race winter series held at Sepang Malaysia in March.
Team Principle Mark Goddard who has watched over Aidan’s progress in the past year said “ It is nice to put Eurasia back on the podium in the Junior categories, Aidan is developing well as a driver and should be in the hunt for more success this season. We know we have a competitive car and a team capable of getting results at this level.”
Eurasia will now field Read in the inaugural round of the ACO Sprint Series at Sepang Malaysia next weekend (28/29 May) in LMP3 machinery, following the trend of bringing drivers through various racing categories as part of their career development.
