Hussein Umid Ali and Rami Azzam took top honours in two SWS Sprint Races held at Dubai Kartdrome on a cold and windy night where tricky conditions prevailed throughout.

In Race 1, Umid Ali was pushed hard all the way to the chequered flag by Dubai based schoolgirl Abi Birch, who crossed the line a quarter of a second down on the winner after the pair swapped positions all race long. Rami Azzam finished third ahead of lady racer Nadia Khan in fourth who enjoyed one of her better SWS Sprint nights at the Kartdrome. Sam Zian was fifth and Anas Al Halabi rounding out the top six.

Azzam bounced back to take victory in Race 2, where again Birch did the chasing and bagged another second place trophy for her growing collection, with Zian third ahead of fourth placed Carsten Winter, Al Halabi in fifth and race one winner Umid Ali sixth.

Earlier in the evening the SWS Juniors did battle over a series of four heats which would determine the final and the Superfinal, while also counting for points.

Heat winners were Oliver Walton who won two, Kamel Agha and Alex Sizov claiming a win each and as a result were top scorers three points scorers.

The Superfinal which pitted the top 12 points scorers, in the heat races, was won comfortably by Seif Al Naggar who broke away from a posse of drivers slugging it out for second place and once ahead was never seriously challenged.

All the action was in his wake with several drivers going wheel-to-wheel throughout the seven lap race, in the end Archie Simpson did just enough to claim second place, a mere 0.155 of a second up on Giacomo Caccia in third, who in turn was less than a second up on Zaid Alami and Walton who were fourth and fifth respectively. Maxime Dubos was sixth.

The Al Azhari brothers Enzo and Keanu were first and second in the Final, ahead of third placed Samir Malas.
