After the first round of FMS last month at the Sepang International Circuit, the FMS championship will continue with Round 2 with 4 races this weekend in Sepang.
As a leading primary formula series in China and Asia area, FMS provide a best platform for young racing drivers to enter the world of international racing.
Team Super License will replace Japanese driver Takashi Hata for Tomoki TAKAHASHI who competed in the series before. He will find a competitive grid to share with his new adversaries.
Absolute Racing had a good first round and is leading the FMS team Championship as well as the drivers championship with Daniel LU from China who scored 3 victories and 69 points. Close behind LU is Daniel Frost who’s from Eurasia Motorsport with 51 Points.
Daniel LU is going to be busy this weekend as he will drive both in the Asian Formula Renault as well as in the Formula Masters Series. It remains to be seen if the additional track time will benefit the youngster or if fatigue will set in during the weekend.
Arvin ESMAEILI from Sweden was on the podium twice last event and will look if he can make it to the top step this weekend. Looking very strong last event but missing out on a Podium were James YU from China and Manuel CABRERA from Mexico and are aiming for their maiden podium this season.
Taylor COCKERTON from New Zealand got his first win of the season last event, and was on podium twice. He will race together with his team mates Ben GRIMES (Philippines) and Antolin GONZALEZ (Spain), to score more points for team Cebu Pacific Air by Pinnacle Motorsport.
Malaysian driver Danial FROST from team Eurasia Motorsport got the runner-up in 3 races, and ranked second also in the classification. He will race together with his team mates Isyraf DANISH (Malaysian) and Kurt HILL (Philippines).
Chinese drivers HU Nan, ZHANG Ya Qi, and LUO Kai Luo will race again for team Linky Racing this weekend.
One practice session and two qualifying session will be held on Friday. Then race 5 (10 laps) and race 6 (6 laps) are held on Saturday. Followed by two more races of 10 laps on Sunday.
