The McLaren 570 S, the newest sportscar launched by the Woking based manufacturer will be the leading car for the event.

Four times Le Mans 24H winner (in 1995 with McLaren) French Yannick Dalmas not only will be the leading car driver, but will also be driving the McLaren VIP guests around the track.

David McIntyre, Managing Director – China, McLaren Automotive: “As the reigning GT3 Champion from the 2015/2016 series with the McLaren 650S GT3, we are delighted to provide the 570S as a Pace Car for the opening round of the 2016/2017 Asian Le Mans Series. To have Yannick Dalmas, who won the Le Mans 24 hours in 1995 in the legendary McLaren F1, now driving the 570S in Zhuhai, is a real privilege. In addition, McLaren owners will also enjoy priceless time with Yannick on- and off-track, and we are looking forward to a really great event.”

Cyrille Taesch Wahlen, Managing Director, Asian Le Mans Series: “I am delighted to have McLaren joining us in China for the opening round of the season. Not only is it a prestigious addition to the event, but it also tells a lot about the growing attractiveness of the Series. I can only envy those who will get a chance to sit next to Yannick during the hot laps session. I would like to thank David McIntyre for his support and McLaren for partnering the ACO in Asia”
