Team Craft-Bamboo Lukoil is proud to announce Pepe Oriola as the second of three team drivers that will be contesting the new TCR International Series. Oriola brings with him tremendous speed and experience in touring cars, which will add depth to the team’s driver line-up and help in their bid for the championship title.

Beginning his career in karting at the age of 9, Oriola moved up to touring cars when he was 15 to contest the final round of the SEAT Leon Supercopa where he finished on the podium. In 2011 Oriola moved to the WTCC, where he became the youngest ever driver in the series at 16 years old when he drove a SEAT Leon at the Race of Brazil. Staying in the WTCC, he battled it out amongst the series top competitors and regularly featured on the podium, but it was in 2013 at the race of Morocco when Oriola would take the win and become the youngest ever driver to win a WTCC race.

After competing in only one round of the WTCC in 2014, Oriola has returned to touring car racing with a renewed determination and focus to secure the championship for Team Craft-Bamboo Lukoil.

The TCR International Series will start on March 29th in Malaysia, at the Sepang International Circuit. The series will be contested over 11 meetings on three continents: Europe, Asia and America. Races will be conducted in Argentina, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Thailand, Malaysia, China, Austria, Singapore and Spain; making the TCR International series a truly global racing platform.
