The world’s premier Asian motorsport news website PitTalkAsia.com has become the official media partner for the exciting Malaysian kart championship: Initial Karting Competizione.
Keeping inline with Pit Talk Asia’s mission to support and promote grassroots motorsport, the partnership will see IKC generating more exposure in local and international media, and the introduction of some exciting new prizes, further strengthening this rapidly growing championship.
The Initial Karting Competizione is the biggest non-professional karting championship in Asia. Founded in 2012 with the intention of organising easily accessible, fun and competitive karting, the IKC has grown to over 40 drivers competing each month, with more than 150 spectators attending.
IKC is the hub for seasoned and new drivers from all ages and walks of life. Competition is serious on the track, and there is a close community of friendship off the track that makes this series very popular.
Pit Talk Asia also brings the Caterham brand to IKC adding more value for the championship. Caterham Motorsport will be giving the champions of each class hot lap drives around the Sepang International Circuit in the Caterham Motorsport Championship race car at the end of the season.
These lightweight 210bhp speed machines compete in the new Caterham Motorsport Championship, reaching speeds in excess of 200kph.
There will also be a photo competition run through Pit Talk Asia for IKC spectators at each race, with winners given paddock access during Caterham Motorsport Championship race weekends. Winners will have garage and pit access bringing them up close to the race cars in action.
IKC founder Syamsul Razmin is excited with the new partnership, “Having Pit Talk Asia as the media partner is a huge movement for IKC. PTA, the centre portal for Asia’s motorsport news will definitely hype up the grassroot level and hopefully improve the whole motorsport ecology in near future.”
The next round of the IKC will be on March 27th at the Shah Alam kart track.
