PS Racing and Atlantic Racing Team (ATL) will team up in ATL’s Wolf GB08 in the CN class for this summer’s Asian Le Mans Sprint Cup in Sepang International Circuit in May followed by two more events in Sepang International Circuit during the summer before starting Asian Le Mans Series at Zhuhai.

“It’s a no-brainer for us.  We are old mates and have wanted to do something together for a long time.  ATL currently offers something for our customers that PS Racing doesn’t at the moment.   This strategic partnership fits in with our long term plan to have more of a presence in Asian Le Mans without distracting us too much from our other operations. We are also looking into expanding this partnership to Asian Le Mans Series, but that will be looked into later on in this month. We are also thinking about adding LMP3 to our fleet but let’s keep that as a secret, ” said Pekka Saarinen, Managing Director at PS Racing.

The Sprint Cup is for LMP3, CN and GT Cup cars (i.e. Porsche Carrera Cup, Audi R8LMS, Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Ferrari Challenge, McLaren 650 Sprint, Lotus Cup, etc.), and drivers classified as Bronze and Silver by the FIA.

A Sprint Cup weekend will consist of two 45 minute practice sessions and two 15 minute qualifying sessions with championship points awarded to the pole winner for both sessions, and two 60 minute races with mandatory 120 seconds in the pits.   A driver line-up may have a maximum of two drivers and one driver must be Bronze.   A Bronze driver may drive solo.  Gold and Platinum drivers are not allowed.
