Hong Kong racing driver Dan Wells made a clean sweep in Round 5 and 6 of the 2015 Asian Formula Renault Championship this weekend (June 19/20/21) at the Zhuhai International Circuit in China, setting the fastest lap in testing and official practice, before taking pole by 2 and 6 tenths of a second for races one and two, before setting the fastest lap en route to taking the chequered flag first on Saturday and then finishing off the weekend with another dominant win from pole by 7.8 seconds.

“Firstly, I’d like to say a big thanks to BlackArts Racing by KCMG for their amazing work this weekend. This is kind of a home race for me being so close to Hong Kong, and it was great that my sponsors Start JG, Pinnacle Performance and BNI were able to come and watch the action this weekend”, Dan commented. “It feels great for our team to put in such a dominant performance, every time we went out on track this weekend we were quickest and I’m looking forward to building on this even further at the Shanghai F1 track on July 10/11. In the mean time, I will be driver coaching for the BlackArts Racing team and building relationships with new partners for my racing program.”

“Lastly, I’d like to dedicate yesterday’s win to my childhood school friend Georgie Ford, whom I found out was killed on Friday morning by a falling rock when she was walking along a beach in Wales, which really made me think how precious every moment is, and today’s win to my father who has supported me in everything I do. On to Shanghai!”

Wells will next be in action at Round 7 and 8 of the Asian Formula Renault Championship at the Shanghai F1 Circuit on July 9/10/11.
